Arrhenius Model

This model allows data to be fitted to the following model:

where E = Flow activation energy, R = Gas constant and T = temperature in K

Using This Model

Use this model to fit melt data from glassy polymers in the region above (Tg+100°C), where Tg is the glass transition temperature. Typically used to determine the temperature dependence of the viscosity or the shift factors (TTS).

Comments

In the region between Tg and (Tg+100°C), use of the WLF model. (The TRIOS Arrhenius model is designed to fit data that have been shifted using TTS).
